Christmas at our new house (a.k.a my parents)

It is Christmas time once again and we are settling in nicely at my parents. Teancum is enjoying all of the decorations he loves to look at the lights. We had our ward party a few days ago and he got to see Santa he was a little confused as to what he was supposed to do but he didn't cry and he said thank you when he gave him a treat. So it went well in my book.
Teancum is adjusting well except he keeps asking where everyone is all the time "where did Dad go" "where did Grandpa go" and so on all day every day even though the answer is always the same "he went to work". Yesterday he asked "where Kris go" I said Grandma Kris is at home. Then he said "where Cherene" I said she is home too. He misses his Grandmas very much he didn't understand why they weren't with us like his other Grandparents are. He has been asking me all day where they are and the answer makes me sad. They are in Cedar and we miss them very much. I can't wait until we can go see them after Christmas.
We are going Christmas shopping in Provo this weekend and I am very excited I love shopping for others it is so much fun. I hope we can get all of the things we need so we don't have to go down the canyon again until after Christmas. My sister Shelley and her two boys are coming on Sunday and they are staying until Christmas. Teancum is going to love having Niko around to play with. I can't wait for Christmas it is so fun to be with family and share in there love. We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thanksgiving

We had a great thanksgiving we went to my grandma Bennett's and the food and company was fantastic. Later that night we drove to the Heap's in Hatch and had so much fun playing Rook until bedtime. The next day we headed to Cedar City for a weekend with Kris and Cherene we had so much fun. Alan took me to see Twilight again and he loved it he laughed so hard at all the things I too thought was funny and he wanted to see it again. Teancum got to spend time with his cousins and they all had a great time together. being back in Cedar was fun (we have only been gone a week and a half) Alan kept joking about how much things have changed since we have been gone. We had a great time I can't wait tell we can do it again.

Vernal

We are finally moved in to my mom's house well sort of our things are here but we are not fully unpacked yet we may never be fully unpacked. Alan started his new job yesterday and he seems to like it (if you ask him about all he says is "it's alright") he is learning new things about construction and that is fun. Teancum is loving it here he is constantly asking me where people are but other than that he is having a good time. My Mom has been such a big help to me without her I would be in a very bad place but she has helped me get things done and that is fantastic. I will post pictures later when I find the cord to our camera. but for now I want you all to know we are well and liking it here in Vernal. We miss our Cedar family and friends very much and hope to see you all soon.

our anniversary

Our Fourth wedding anniversary was November sixth and we went to a Jazz game on the fifth that was awesome. We stayed at our friends Jeff and Jeanette's on Wednesday night after the game and we enjoyed our time with them. On Thursday we stayed at a very cute B&B called Parrish place in S.L.C off I-80 It was a fun anniversary.

On Saturday Alan was supposed to have a job interview but the owner of the company was stuck in sat lake so they had to put off the interview until Sunday after dinner. Alan got the job and is only taking a minimal pay cut. So we are moving to vernal next week. I am happy and sad all at once I have so many mixed emotions. cedar is our home we never thought we would leave but Vernal is a nice place and we will be living with my parents for awhile so I will have some help with Teancum that is a plus. I am also a lot closer to my family since no one ever can to cedar but they all come to vernal often to see mom and dad. but I am going to miss all of my friends and Family in cedar. Alan has lived there most of his life and his family is all there who we love very much and will miss everyday. I will try to keep my blog updated so everyone can watch Teancum grow.

Halloween and the day that followed

Halloween this year was very fun. Teancum and I went to visit his grandmas' at their schools. first we went to see Kris at Enoch elementary she teaches Kindergarten. The kids loved Teancum and he loved them he got to play with them and they followed him around like he was a puppy. We had a small incident with a swing but he was okay. Hopefully next time he will remember not to walk behind someone who is swinging. Then we went to Cherene's class she teaches third grade at North elementary. They were having there Halloween party and Teancum got to join in the festivities. He danced and ran and played with all the kids until it was time to go home.

Then it was off to trick or treat. We started at our dear friends Stan and Michelle's. (They are our friend Ray's parents) they are the sweetest people they bribed Teancum with candy to say Stan (which of course he did several time and received several pieces of candy for it.)it was so funny we were worried he would say Stan instead of Trick or Treat to get candy but Teancum got the hang of trick or treating very fast. He would knock on the door and have his hand at the ready for them to give him a piece of candy. He enjoyed all the attention he received.

His cousins met up with us at Grandmas' house the oldest was the grim reaper, the second was Hannah Montana, and the youngest was a cowboy. They were all so cute. Teancum loved the cowboy costume he borrowed the hat, boots, and horse and galloped around the house they all had a great time.

Later that night we went to my cousin Tyann's house she has four beautiful children that Teancum loves to play with and I love getting to spend time with her. Teancum and Jarrett (Tyann's third child first boy) had so much fun chasing each other around the house playing super heroes and other fun games. By the end of the day we were all very tired. Today we went to Stan's retirement party Teancum was the center of attention like always. We love Stan and Michelle so much they have been so kind to us and invite us over even though Ray and Jen are not able to be there. If we have to move we will miss them very much. Later we went back to Tyann's her family are there and we wanted to see them. We had so much fun with uncle Ray, Aunt Amy, Becca, and Neil. We played volleyball out back until it turned into a football game and then it turned into a shoot out with Alan and Neil they hid behind bushes and shot at each other with toy guns they stole from the two little boys. After dinner we had a performance from Rachel and Alison (Tyann's oldest girls) they danced to music from Anastasia and we all enjoyed ourselves. I love our family we have so much fun together doing the silliest things. They always make me happy. I am very blessed with a wonderful Family (that includes extended family) I don't know what I Would do without them.

Okay so the other day Alan called me from work and said I needed to look for a job and soon because he may loose his. The company he works for has been doing so well until lately when a company I will not name couldn't pay them, and everyone is so scared that no one is building. He may be out of a Job in two months they have to lay off some of the guys this week and we may be next. then we will end up in vernal with my parents, strangely enough i would love to live with my parents, but I don't want to move I love cedar and all of Alan's family is here, but all of my family is up north so I am torn.
I am freaking out Alan thinks it will all work itself out that people will start building again soon that they will get more jobs but what if they don't. There are so many people that are out of work nowadays no one can find a good job. We are doing fine so far they have had enough work to keep them busy this week, but we lost our insurance because the company can't afford it. We want to have another baby but how would that work if we don't even know if he is going to have a job in two months. I am just rambling now sorry I am just a little scared of what is to come for us. things seem to have a way of working out though so we will just have to wait and let them play themselves out.
